Kent County Tennis League
We Hope to See You on the Courts!
To have independent access to the tennis facilities at Washington College, you must be a college faculty or staff member, join KCTL, or become a member of Washington College's 1782 Society.
You may participate in clinics or take lessons from the college's tennis staff but once you desire to use the tennis courts independently or play in a group, then an affiliation with the college or KCTL membership is required (with an allowance of playing as a guest for two times).
There is no initial cost to join KCTL, and there are no yearly dues once you become a member. However, a fee is charged by "playing season" which is made up of an indoor and outdoor session. The indoor session is six months and varies but is scheduled from October 1 to March 31. The outdoor session is also six months and is dependent on weather, scheduled beginning April 1 and continuing to September 30. There is an option to play in either one or both sessions. The current cost per session is $300 per person. The session fees are used largely to pay for use of the college's tennis related facilities.
As an alternative to joining KCTL, you can become a member of Washington College's 1782 Society which is another way to have access to the college's tennis courts. This requires a donation each year to the college and includes a fee for using all the campus facilities open to the community.
For more information or to join, please send us an email. Describe your playing level and let us know if you would be interested in joining an existing group; and please provide the best way to reply. We look forward to hearing from you!
